LGBT Ireland is a national charitable organisation that provides a
range of support services to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender,
Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) people and their families. Informed by
the issues and experiences raised through our frontline services we
deliver education and training to a wide range of stakeholders, and
lead national advocacy campaigns to enhance the visibility, inclusion
and rights of LGBTQI+ people living in Ireland.
ABOUT OUR SERVICES AND ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMMES:
LGBT Ireland delivers vital frontline services supporting thousands of
LGBTQI+ people and their family members each year. The organisation
also oversees several LGBTQI+ focused engagement programmes, aimed at
increasing LGBTQI+ people?s access to, and engagement with, a range
of mainstream agencies. Our frontline services include:
* THE NATIONAL LGBT HELPLINE AND ONLINE CHAT SUPPORT: a volunteer-led
service providing confidential, non-judgemental support and
information on a range of issues relating to sexual orientation,
gender identity and gender expression.
* MONTHLY PEER TO PEER SUPPORT GROUPS: providing safe spaces for
LGBTQI+ people who are ?coming out? and share a similar
experience.
